What is Pressure Washing?

Pressure washing is the use of high-pressure water to blast aware surface debris, organic growth and staining. Water is forced at very high pressure through different nozzles, depending on the force and type of spray that is required. We use commercial grade pressure washing engines to achieve maximum pressure and performance. 

The outcome for almost all hard surfaces is the immediate transformation of concrete, patio slabs, brickwork or pavers. It is an affordable and fast solution to bring impressive change to your outside space.

Patio Cleaning Process

Step 1 - Preparation 

Weeds are treated in advance, when required. On the day of the clean, pots, garden furniture and equipment are carefully removed and set aside by our operators, 

Step 2 - Cleaning 

Precision, high-pressure cleaning of all hard surfaces, as required. To protect surrounding areas such as flower beds and gravel, we use metal protection boards along sensitive edges. 

Step 3 - Treatment 

Once the surface is completely clean, we apply a biocidal fungicidal treatment (optional, but provides gleaming results). This typically includes a fungicidal foam or Lightning Wash as standard, with an optional ecological BioWash treatment available. These treatments inhibit the re-growth of algae and fungi living within the surface. 

Gentle rinse to remove residues and reveal visibly clean surfaces. 

Step 4 - Repairs 

We offer a repair and restore service, when requested. This can include replacing cracked patio slabs, re-grouting joints and securing loose slabs. 

Step 5 - Protection 

For patios requiring additional care, we also offer sealing. Using high-quality, HSE approved sealants from Smart Seal we enhance the colour, strengthen the surface and help inhibit weed growth. At least two coats are meticulously applied, often by hand using brushes and rollers to ensure full saturation.

If your patio is structurally sound but looking tired, our clean only service may be the ideal choice. This includes the same thorough pressure cleaning process and fungicidal treatment, leaving the surface refreshed and safer underfoot.

We also offer a seal only service for newly installed patios. If required, we carry out a light clean beforehand to ensure proper absorption. This protective layer enhances the finish and reduces future maintenance.
