Project

uPVC and gutter cleaning and ‘MOT’

Project Details

uPVC has become a popular choice for windows and surrounds, offering a maintenance free alternative to wood. However, it does need a regular wash to keep it looking bright and fresh and prevent unsightly buildup of dirt and grime. Manufacturers recommend for a town property a good clean every 3-4 months to keep it looking tip top.

For this project we were asked to complete an annual clean and service to all uPVC on the property.

Solution

Work started with the gutters. Using our professional wet/dry gutter vacuum and camera the debris was cleared from the gutters, downpipes and drains before all rainwater goods are flushed and checked for blockages, fixing and damage.

The teams then moved onto cleaning the uPVC, a softwash fungicide was applied to treat the cause of the stains and prevent the regrowth of the algae, lichen and mould. Once complete, all PVC was cleaned using an appropriate detergent, low pressure washer and bristled brush to remove the dirt and grime.

What the client said
